During the last few years, we've been working really hard on the development of new products for today's changing market. Firstly we have crafted something special for the Overlay Stained Glass market and for all those home owners who wanted to add a special touch to their homes, but were unwilling to because of the lead factor. In the Far East, some Architects insist on the use of an alternative product to lead, but lead is very difficult to replicate. It's a relatively low cost metal, it's very durable and better still, it's super to work with. That's why it's used to create stained glass windows and to cover roof surfaces. It also outlasts most other metals available. Magnificent Church windows that were created hundreds of years ago are still displaying colour and beauty. Tried and tested for more than 3 years, our new Architects overlay brings a new alternative to the Overlay market. First of all the new Architects Overlay is 100% LEAD FREE and is made from a Tin/Zinc alloy, it bends well and is applied exactly in the same way as overlay lead. In the Far East, the new Architects overlay has been specified and used in Children's schools and hospital developments for the last 3 years. We've also increased our coloured polyester film range, the major product when creating coloured Overlay windows. We now have over 320 different colours and textures, the largest range available from any supplier. Many of the new colours are unique because they replicate rolled traditional stained glass.
